Altered - Heart Tin

Hello Dearies....

Today I have an altered tin box which I had ......and didn't kinda know what to do with it....! Finally some thoughts at midnight dreams type got into my crafty head and this is what I turned it out to look like.

I have used Prima - Garden Fable and G45 papers for background inside the lid and the bottom of the tin box. I have die cut the balcony which was from a fence die cut, gave a base by cutting a chipboard it into a semi circle and adhered each other. Covered a button with pattern paper for table top, matching to it cut a rectangle chipboard adhered it with pattern paper matching the table top and made it a sit out in the balcony with some dry moss leaves dangling from the top with some stamped and fussy cut fairies embossed with Ranger EP and stuck them. Die cut flowers with different coloured CS. For pathway below again adhered a chipboard and coloured it with acrylic brown and stuck few aquarium stones to give a soft pebble pathway for the entrance. Added Spanish moss for more grassy side and fussy cut butterflies, birds and cherries for more garden feel. On to the lid I added a resin frame and stuck my little son's pic and made him the main fairy in this tiny little tin heart fairy land.  For the outer layers I gessoed with Prima heavy white gesso and used Rock stencil from TCW and coloured with metallic copper, metallic pink, Blue spray, tiny flowers from CherryLynn dies.

Butterfly - Little life

Hello Dearies.....

I'm sharing a LO with quite a forest theme and very messy.......though loved getting messy with the work and textures that this little piece of art gave my heart. My LO's or my work doesn't go without flowers or butterflies....but this one is dedicated to this tiny little beauty which I love love love.

Butterflies are found all over the world and in all types of environments; hot and cold, dry and moist, sea level and mountains....... but most butterfly species, however are found in tropical areas especially tropical rain forests and I have chosen this theme to show the butterflies and the EARTH (Ground). Here I have tried to show you guys the moist tropical land in the forest where I have created a drama with a lady walking by on the ground and there are butterflies welcoming her into the silent forest and there are handmade flowers bright and with more moss and lot of soil textures given here. This piece was quite messy when I started working ........ but I loved the whole LO turned into a beautiful piece.  I have tried to depict the real colours and moist sand in the LO worked on textures till I attained the satisfactory levels for myself. (LOL)!!

I have used black/White Prima heavy gesso, tissue paper, packing material, moss, die cut flowers which I have handmade ( Classic rose - Heartfelt & Cherrylynn), dry and green moss, sisal for more texture, corrugated sheet, Spanish moss, art stones, real small stones, chalk inks, Ranger alcohol inks, viva gold, Prima - copper alchemy ink, glitter balls, micro beads.

Few close ups for u all to view the textures in detail

Today I want to share with you the DT call from Craftstory, who is a leading Russian chipboard manufacturer and also other crafty stuff as well. I love your products and have seen the other scrappers using the products on their work and its gorgeous and would love to apply for your DT call.

A small brief up about myself

I'm Hema, here from India. I'm married and have a teenage son. I have been a Human Resource working professional from 15 years..... but now I'm at home giving my full time to my passion which is ART. I started with paper crafts, DIY and slowly moved over to cards, baby albums, gift boxes and now into mixed media which has caught me up and I'm happy experimenting on this in different styles and giving art a different dimension all together. I love working on any platform and learn more techniques to create some stunning art pieces. I'm comfortable in variations giving different dimensions in work.

Currently I have joined two design teams which I'm not supposed to reveal since the DT call is still on but I have been selected.  Would be happy to let you know by mail if you need the details. I would like to thank you all gals for the opportunity shared and would wait for a positive response.

Today I'm sharing a small canvas which embraces love of a mother to her child.  I thoroughly enjoyed working on this and I'm happy to share with you all. Colour Blue is something which we all love to work on and it amuses every time I do some trial with it....so here we go........

I have used 8x8 canvas, Dusty Attic - Oceania Blue, Dusty Attic - Chippie Ticket, Lindy's Caribbean Blue - spray, Lindy's Jassy Jivin Purple, WOW EP- Silver, TCW- Gabbi's Crackle Stencil, Momento - Dye ink Blue, Sea shells, Handmade clay flowers, Metal Charms, Cheese cloth, Negative Chippies, Border chippies, Papericious - Swirl & Botanical chippies, star shaped rhinestones,Ranger- Clear Crackle, Prima Heavy Gesso - Black & white, Prima - Art stones, Resin Frame, mini glass jar, CherryLynn - die cuts mini flowers, glitter balls, few flat large pearls & Melange.

I cut all the negatives of the chippies in different uneven shapes and stuck it to the canvas, then stuck resin frame, shells, flowers, stuck botanical and swirl chippies. Gave a brush of heavy black gesso and allowed to dry.  Now playtime........started playing with sprays, acrylic wash, textured with gesso, dry brushing till I finally was satisfied with the textures showing up and finally embellished with flowers - diecut, melange, heat embossed the sentiment and also set my own quote, printed  and stuck it on to the LO......also lastly for a finish..took few mermaid printout and fussy cut and stuck them too in the end  highlighted the edges with Momento Dye ink - Blue.......viola............this is it.......

Few Closeups for you all............

I truly loved the mood board colours in the blog's listed here and wanted to give it a shot where I can play around with all the colours in the mood board required for the challenge and play with textures....also had to keep in mind where I can show & balance in one piece everything required for the challenge....... so this is what I came up with.
