Smiling Spring

Hi Dearies....

I'm back with another fresh LO totally SPRING with colour and brightness. Loved working down on this LO and it turned up bright and nice.

I have used a chipboard 12x12 as base and gave a clean wash of Prima White gesso.  I picked the focal pic which matched the colours of the mood board and worked down.  I used strips of DCWV paper from Magnolia collection and Prima - Garden Fable ....oooo I just love the colourful paper..perfect match with the LO. Stencilled with Prima - Spark stencil. Used Lindy's Magical powder's - Prairie Wildflowers and water coloured the layout with all the colours which matched the mood board.  Did my layers, stamped few roses and leaves using Versamark Pigment inks, For Chippies I have used Papericious swirls and embossed them with Ranger Gold and Lindy's Drop Dead Diva Set which again were a perfect match. Added flowers - mulberry and few handmade flowers, leaves, sisal, stamped Scrapberrys birds - Versamark ink, used micro and glass beads, splashes of colours - yellow, pruple, pink and olive green on the entire layout.  Stamped a Sentiment and finished.

Merry Mermaid

Hello Beauties...

Today I have worked totally on Blueeeeeee.......... I loved working on this LO. Truly.

I have used real stones, tissue paper, soft stones (I picked few from my aquarium.....LOL), old net, sea shells, real soft sand, viva gold, patina brown paste - Finnabair, Art stones, Sea Moss,Papericious - new Teal Blue spray for water effects, Papericious wooden chippies, Creative embellishments - Mermaid, Metallic Waxes - Turquoise Blue, Blue velvet, White Gesso, 3D Heavy body gel for sticking all the embellishments.

I have used 8x8 canvas board, stuck real stones and covered them with tissue paper so that I can use colour easily on them. Gave the whole layout a wash with Teal spray and worked down with the colour tones and stuck real sand ......(I could not get the dry sand effect) Though I layered it with more sand and gave three layers also still the sand was getting absorbed and I was a bit upset,,,,,,Later gave it a thought and looked.....it showed natural like wet sand ...hence left it at that and got convinced myself (LOL). Then started working around with art stones, net, moss, shells.  I coloured the mermaid with metallic waxes and highlighted the scales with white gelly pen.  Dry brushed white gesso on the layout for water effect.  Rubbed on viva gold and Brown paste for highlights.

Love Spring

Hi Dearies....

I have a lovely Reverse canvas.......altered with love, flowers, butterflies and harmony.
I had fun playing around this little piece and its an anniversary gift for a newly wed couple. I worked the whole concept with the focal pic and created this.

I have used Prima White/Black jesso, Gabriel's Crackle Stencils, Dusty attic stencil, Creative Embellishments Chippies, Papericious Chippies, Viva Gold, Spanish moss - Dry and Green, handmade and die cut flowers, pollen's, fussy cut butterflies, Cheerylynn Diecut Birds, Sentiment with pearls.

I worked the canvas with white gesso using stencils of Dusttyattic and Gabriel's Crackle stencils, heat set it, then randomly worked with Black gesso, used Lindys Green Spray Frosty Sorest Green, later started with moss, grass embellishing, added flowers, pollen's, stuck wooden branch chippies from Papericious, added heart and fairy from Creative embellishments, fussy cut butterflies, added die cut birds from CherryLyn Die cuts, rubbed Viva gold for more texture highlight and lastly dry brushed with white gesso.

Hello  Dearies.............

I have a special post to share with........hope you guys would like it.

Its a 8x10" canvas and I have made this specially for Moscow Scrap Club blog....I loved this month's challenge of creating something new techniques with mixed media challenge and have given a try on sculpting and jewellery techniques.

I have used a cloth handbag for the curtain.  I did this by sculpting method technique for the fabric using stiffener and adhered it to the canvas. Allowed to dry.  Had made the Prima  jewellery with hot glue gun, for the stairs I used a cotton candy stick as the steps and added cheese cloth for the fabric flow which depicts in the focal pic. I have used a big lantern chipboard from Creative embellishments. Once I had everything in place I applied Heavy Black gesso and worked around the layout. Once dried used Finnabair metallic Wax and Unicorn Sparks for highlights. Had layers done for the focal pic with  Prima - Rose quartz Paper pack, die cuts dandelions and few mulberry flowers and leaves to match the LO. Pearls and beads were glued with Heavy body gel.

I was inspired with the pic....which speaks a Women who has conquered and she has reached the top most and there is light and brightness in the dark path of life and we women can achieve and spread happiness in the form of flowers and pearls and all smiles even at the darkest side of LIFE.
