An Angel of Hope

Hello Ladies....

Im here to share a new work with you all for few challenges for the month. I wanted to create an anceint statue for a change and this is what I could create with. I was inspired by few sculptures of ancient Greece and took an inspiration to create this project. Greek sculptors were particularly concered with propotion, poise and the idealised perfection of the human body and their figures in stone and bronze which have become some of the most recognisable pieces of art ever produced by any civilization.

The sculpture of ancient Greece from 800 to 300 BCE took early inspiration. Greek artists would reach a peak of excelence which captured the human form in a way never seen before and was copied. Greek sculptors were particularly concerned with propotion, poise and idealised perfection of the human body and their figures in stone and bronze ...which have become recognisable pieces of art every products in any civilization.

I have tried to imagine my way of the same and created this little piece of art with some lovely textural background and effects.

I have used a broken manequin, drapped fabric with fabric stiffner (Powertex), fiber paste from Itsybitsy, rust paste, Deco Art crackle medium, wood chippies from ItsyBitsy, laces, embossing texture paste from Itsy Bitsy and Lindys Magicals (Guten Tag Teal, Time Travel Teal, Bavarian blue, Yodelling Yellow,Cowbunga Copper), added few natural twigs for this composition.

Happy Crafting

Vintage - Lady in Mirror

Hello Ladies.....

We have entered into another month and to begin with I wanted to share my work for Rhedd's Creative Spirit  Blog.

I have used an old cracked wooden plank which I did a photo transfer technique - I used Itsy Bitsy - Little Birdie PhotoTransfer liquid and used it on the focal image which I printed, also covered the focal image with modpodge once the image was transfered so that I could  work on colors. Later covered the wooden plank entirely with crackle paste and sprayed with Lindy's Magical Shakers - Gunten Tag and Time Travel Teal, Cathedral Pines - Green, Grab a guy gold. I added Prima moulds and art stones which were in my stash and dry brushed with white gesso and gave the entire plank a vintage feel. Few close up shots

Hope you guys join us with your creations for the month. Yes we accept work which is altered and given a new life. So join for the month and share some art along...........waiting for you guys.

Cheers!!

Revive Memories

Hello Gals.....

I'm back with a new share of work and I have altered an old dairy of memories and hence wanted to share with you all.

I have worked on textures with Little Birdie new release of Stone Paste, Fiber Paste, Brick stencil and have created the base texture ...later added some guague, dried pumpkin fiber, dried twigs, new release art stones from Little Birdie - Itsy Bitsy store.  Coated with black gesso and went ahead added some green color splash and alcohol gold color splash on to the base and heat set it.  Once dried added Viva gold for highlight, stuck few metal charms...to give it a forest look. I wanted to give a try with the new products and this was very yummy to play with and I throughly enjoyed working and the result is just too good!!

Few close up shots here:

Hope you guys like this new share of work and this is the first time I have altered a dairy and truly loved the way this turned.....will be making more and sharing with you all.
