Ensemble an Elegance

Today on this auspicious day I would love to share my creative work for this month. 

I have worked on 10x10 black canvas, with Finnabair's stencil run through embossing paste and added Lindy's embossing powder Poppin-pink EP, adhered crushed paper and made a treek trunk and branches, gessoed it with Finnabair's White Gesso, sprayed the tree trunk and branches with Lindy's spray Hag's Wart Orange,  and coloured the diecuts with Ramblin-rose-pink, Cotton-candy-pink, added layers of diecuts which were embossed with Lindy's EP - Stardust Candy Rose, Poppin Pink EP, added fussycut flowers, lace embellishements, diecuts were also distressed with Timholtz Distress inks, glass chabocons were colored with alcohol inks, chippies were colored with Lindy's sprays, later added few jewellery finding and gold chain as hanging lantens from the tree brances, added micro balls and silk flowers across with small wooden slices around the tree's trunck.

I would be happy to share this work with 

For this challenge I have used black background and costume as the main challenge. For me costume is our Indian saree which is our tradition, pride and innovation. It represents the culture of India and symbolizes a woman's way of life. The many ways that the saree is worn says much of its versatality and durability.   Saree is not only worn in India but all over the world, thats because of its sensuality that it has grabbed attention till today and a woman looks elegant, gorgeous and stylish. Me as a south Indian love sarees and its just sensuous. So I was totally happy to create this months challenge with the focal pic of a famous and talented South Indian actress.

Also would love to share with 

I loved the color palette and have created this LO with all Lindys EP and sprays.

PS: I loved the autumn colors of the moodboard and also wanted to share my work with similar colors and textures which gives a different festive feel for this autumn.

ORIGIN - an identity

Hello Lovely People,

Today I'm sharing an art journal with you all.  The journal is totally on our National flag colors and this is my take on this month's MTW Challenge "ORIGINS". Yes, we all have our origins and this is the identity we get first before our individual names that our parents give us, THE ORIGIN from where we all come from. I was inspired with this word and challenge for this month.

I have used Prima Heavy white gesso, Prima Acrylics, Lindy's Sprays and embossing powders, Distress Ink Pads run with stencils, fussy cut elements, heavy wood natural slices, metal embelishments, moss, doodle rub ons and golden flower rubons from KaiserCraft, flowers, white splatters for finishing. 

I loved making this  journal page and also the colors of my national flag symbolises a meaning in them. 

The National Flag of India, the top band is of Saffron colour which indicates the STRENGTH and COURAGE of our country. The White middle band indicates PEACE & TRUTH with DHARMA CHAKRA which is Blue, the last band is Green and indicates the FERTILITY, GROWTH & AUSPICIOUSNESS of our Motherland.

Fantasy - a Beauty

Hello Dearies,

Its been a long time that I have been working and sharing stuff on my blog and other social media. I wanted to take a break and get back. Will be sharing some nice stuff in the coming month and will keep you guys occupied.

I have created this canvas inspired by one of my crafty friend.  Its nice to be inspired and create after a break. I have used a 8x12 canvas adhered with dustyattic chippies negative, Prima heavy black gesso,  and used Lindys' magical shakers - Magnolia Magenta, Yodeling-yellow, Lindy's EP Yodeling-yellow-ep, Raspberry-lemonade, dustty attic and scrappienec chippies, fussy cut floers, real twigs which were heat set with EP, diecuts, glass cabochons, glitter and melange has been added to make this lovely project.

Discover Urself - Explore

Hello Lovely people....

This month has been so hectic never got a chance to sit with my art work. But we are crazy crafters and without paint and colours we cant breathe....yeaah i know most of you gals there would agree with this. I pulled up an art journal quickly and here it is.

I have used embossing paste (Wendy Vecchi) run through Crafters companion stencil and topped it with Lindy's EP - Midnight-pewter, Oom-pah-pah-pink added a dash of Lindy's Sprays - Chateau-rose, Ramblin-rose-pink, Texture stamps - Scrap -FX, Fussy cut flowers and layers with Mintay Papers - Dear Dairy, my old stash of stickers, melange, transparent glass bubbles, and rhinestones were used on this journal.

Hope you guys like this little work share of mine....Hope I get to share more work next month with you all.

Would like to join these challenges for the month

For this months challenge word inspiration - DISCOVER - for me...its all about discovering yourself  as in relaise what you are and find good in, passion in you, how you overcome your ups and downs with one storm of problems you face in life, access relationships and how you cling on to them ....all these make us realise and discover the person we are and what God has been giving us the opprutunities for discovering ourselves. I have tried to depict the same in my work and also the focal pic which shows storm and lighting from above...... thats how I connect with my art. For old stash I have used melenge, stickers, transparent glass balls.
