Mixed Media - Celebrate

Hi Friends!!

Today I'm here to share a beautiful canvas.  I enjoyed working on this project. I have used Papericious Wedding collection paper pack for the scrap layout. The paper was very much coordinating with the theme challenge of this month ...hence I choose it.

I used Prima white heavy gesso along with Diecuts and more Raindrop Stencil. I used ColourArte Twinkling H2O's Yellow Rose and gave a neat coat for shimmery yellow randomly around the layout. Then stacked my centre pic with doily cut in half and adhered it... next used coordinating DCWV strips of cardstok and tag behind the centre pic.  Later used splashes of black heavy gesso,Lindy's starburst Red Rudolph's Nose Red and Poker orange and Brown splashes. Later embellished with Tiara along with pollens and small gardenia flowers.  Then used Cherry Lynn's Gardenia flower strip and made roses and highlighted with Diamond Dust for sparkle and also used Spellbinders Dies for Small Daisies in grey and white and used glitter micro beads, fussy cut coordinating butterflies and adhered them along the layout and applied InkaGold  randomly on the edges of the layout for a shimmery effect.

The word Celebrate itself fascinated me to create this little piece ....and I loved the way the whole layout turned up.

Hope you all enjoyed what  I shared here.  More close up pics ....

Mixed Media - LAVENDER LOVE

Hi All...........

I'm here to share a new mixed media canvas.  I fell in love with the picture I choose for this particular layout.  It was quite romantic about the scenery. I went wild and vibrant with the textures, colours and experimented with the whole project.

I used cheese cloth, tissue paper, Prima texture paste, Prima white heavy gesso, Finnabir art stones, Artanthology stone texture paste, micro beads, rhinestones, handmade flowers, spellbinders die cuts, Dustyattic jewel chippies (The original jewel chippies were used for a different project) and the negatives, which I felt were quite useful here, I had these chippies used with some embossing powders and stuck it along with the flowers and added micro glitter here and there. The main picture I stuck it in three layers to give a 3D look which has the river flowing, so that it looks as the stream is flowing down towards and stuck coordinating dragonflies and butterflies flying along with the whole layout.  This gave me an imaginary presence on the whole. It was quite romantic. Romance is not all about a male nd female holding each other.....but I felt this was quite a lovely scenetic appeal for LOVE/ROMANCE ...... its all about celebrating a feeling. What say? (LOL)!

I spread the whole layout in a manner that it looks quite natural with the centre picture coordinating with all the elements used in the project.

Enclosing more closeup shots.....

I used the cheesecloth, tissue paper, art stones, stone texture paste and colourarte's twinkling H2o's  on the canvas.

Now after I gave a neat wash of colours and started sticking my centre picture with all the required embellies.

This is Dustyattic chippy.....I used the jewel part chippy to another project and use the corner negatives here .....the S shaped curvy  joint....which I placed in the centre was cut and embossed with lavender embossing powder and stuck along with other embellishment.

Below are some closeup shots....for you all to see the textures....

Hope you all enjoyed this as much as I loved working on it.

Mixed Media - In Blue

Hi All.....

Today I share with you all a canvas of mixed media which I loved playing with.

I first applied clear jesso (Prima) and brushed the whole canvas and heat set it.  Now, used the white jesso and just brushed randomly at few places and heat set it. Next I applied Distress Clear Crackle on the white jesso and let it dry.  After the crackle paste left the cracks on the jesso, I used Lindy's Bachelor Button Blue starbust spary and Carribean Flat Fbio spray for textures and blended it. Now stamped a compass clock with archival black ink and also used my script stamp and randomly stamped the canvas.  Next, I had my image ready.....gave a back support with a corrugated paper and stuck the centre image. Now I took few beads, shells, chippies all glued with 3d matt gel (Prima).  I used Spanish Moss for the natural effect and splashed few drops of the blue sprays of Lindy's on to the shells. Next I took few micro beads, glass beads and pearls mixed it with clear gel and applied it randomly on to the canvas for a deep sea look......thaaadaaaaa...I was quite happy with the whole outcome of the canvas......to finish with the final take....I applied Prima Blacck jesso with dry brush and covered the outer edges of my board.  Now finally to give a word ....I took BEAUTY as my pick and I hand wrote it with my brushpen, fussy cut and adhered it on to my canvas.  So this was a little piece of work which inspired me and I'm sharing it over here.....

Hi Dearies.....

Wishing you all a Happy Holidays......and a coming New Year!!

I have created this mixed media layout for this month's bright season .........and the lovely mood board challenge.

Created this mixed media mini canvas by using Prima clear gesso and stenciled with Prima Heavy white jesso using Rain drop Stencils by Diecuts and more. Now painted it with acrylic colours for texture colour.  Heat embossed the window with Wow embossing silver powder and adhered it on to the pic. Used the glittered snowflake and adhered it on to the board.  For snow used the cushion foam which was in my stash and glued the strayfoam balls with clear dry glue for snow effect.  Fussy cut the polar bear from DCWV the Arctic Wishes paper pack and also the sentiment from this paper pack.  To finish.....I adhered few flowers in my stash and also added few strayfoam balls for snowy effect........thaaadaaaa......my layout was bright and snowy.....with Christmas jingles.

I loved doing this and hope you guys liked it tooo...

Mini Album - Clutch Purse

Hi everyone!!

It's been long that I have posted anything on to my blog....But crafting still kept me busy and working too. Today, I have a mini album to share with you all which is a gift to my bestie.

Today I share with you  flip fold mini clutch purse album. The measurement of the purse is 6"1/4 and 5"inches and you can store 40 pics in this album.  It also has tags and photo mats in the pockets made inside and the whole album flip folds back into the clutch purse.  This time my try was mixed media on the cover of the album.  I had never got this in my mind unless I spoke to my teacher who is truly nice at heart and she is SHILPA NAGAONKAR and has been a driving force to all the ladies out there into  mixed media craziness......

And I thank her with whole heart for an opportunity to be associated with her.  Here I have used PAPERICIOUS PAPER PACK - DAMASK Collection for this month's challenge. I have used textured paper on the outside of the purse and the base is black cardstock. I have used SPELLBINDER dies for photo mats and pockets in the purse. I have also used Martha's lace punch for decorating the beautiful paper inside.  I have limited the embellishments as its flip folded and also I did not want the richness of the paper to be overlooked.

On the whole I was really happy to see the whole project taking a new dimension.  Hope you all will like it and enjoy !!

I have linked this work of mine to Papericious India - Monthly challenge - Anything goes - August 2016.  This is my first time entry to Challenge mode....Hope to create more!! Wish me Luck!

If you have like my work please leave a comment and I would feel happy to hear you.  Thank you all and God Bless!!

Lots of love - Hema
